PUPPY ARRIVING & FIRST STEPS TRAINING
The first part is that you have everything in place for when puppy arrives, this helps puppy to settle quickly into it’s new surroundings, away from mum and their brother/sisters. This is a quick visit to your home and a check list for all you need.
The second part is starting with the basic training. This helps puppy start with their education in the world.
This can covers:
- Toilet training
- Play biting
- Chewing
- Greeting Visitors
- Learning and teaching puppy basic commands
- Responding to name
- Coming back when called
walking on lead
- Sit & down
-Plus many more useful tips on good manners.
HOME VISITS
A home visits is made in the comfort of yours and your dog’s own comfort zone, this helps to assess your situation to see what the issues are and how your dog interacts with you in their own environment. To discuss any issues your dog has and for me to advice and see the problems your dog is having. A home visit also gives us time to put the advice and training in to place.
This could be for:

-New Dogs
-Behaviour in the house

TRAINING
1 to 1 dog training is an ideal solution for those owners who can not attend classes and for dogs who don’t like to learn in a class environment.
With one to one training the needs of your dog can be given more effectively and appropriately addressed, giving you and your dog the calm and comfortable feeling in their own home and environment, rather than the stress of going to a strange place and meeting other dogs.

- Basic/advanced obedience
- Recall
- Obedience when out
- Manners in the home
- Anxiety, aggression or fear

I am a fully qualified Kennel Club trainer/behaviourist and examiner, with 20 years of dog training. I have experience of 1 to 1, group training and working with all dogs in the home and outside. I also had my own dog training and agility school which ran for six years. I have a gentle approach when training, with firm single commands that owners of all ages and dogs can understand
Whether it is general obedience or a behavioural problem, by being a dog behaviourist and trainer I can help you to understand your pet, so you can achieve a happy, well behaved pet and a balanced relationship/partnership with your dog.
I welcome the chance to help owners who have a new four legged member of their family, whether they are a new puppy or a re-homed rescued dog.
All my training methods are gentle but positive reinforced using treats, toys, lots of praise and love.
